Speech and Language at Home
Speech-language pathologists see your child for just a fraction of time each week. As parents and caregivers, you are with your child almost 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As SLPs we help you teach your children how to become successful communicators. Here are just a few tips on how to create a speech and language rich environment within your home.
1. Daily Routines

Cloze procedure: Let them fill in last word, phrase, and key words

Then start pointing out words and letters

Preschool age: Review what the book was about and what happened at the beginning, middle and end.
